Welcome to
Château Montrose

I am of legal drinking age

Facing the estuary, Château Montrose takes
root in a terroir shaped by the Gironde.

By depositing clay, gravel, and sand, the river has patiently sculpted singular ridges,
each endowed with its own distinct personality. From this living geology were born the six Terraces
of the Médoc, a precious heritage shaping the relief and landscape of the peninsula. Château Montrose
rests on Terraces No. 03 and No. 04: two elite viticultural cores, true geological jewels of the estate.

130 hectares in total,
dont 95 hectares
under vine.

Two premier viticultural cores:
Terrace No. 03
Terrace No. 04

True to the identity of Montrose, the vineyard is
planted with 63% Cabernet Sauvignon,
31% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot,
offering a uniquely diverse palette of expressions.

Terraces No. 03 and No. 04,
the beating heart of Montrose.

These two Terraces form the foundation of the vineyard,
the chosen lands of Cabernet Sauvignon, where the
very essence of the place comes into its own.

Demanding terroirs, where
water becomes a measured presence.

This gentle and beneficial water stress is particularly
conducive to the flourishing of Cabernet Sauvignon,
a grape variety of patience, rooted in the long term
to fully achieve its tannic structure and aromatic potential.

This is where the balance and natural
power of Montrose take root.

A contained strength,
precise, mastered.

Terrace No. 03 · Terrace No. 04
Two expressions
of the same breath.

Two terroirs close in nature,
two faces of the same land,
each with its own singular identity.

Terrace No. 03

With its deeper soils, this Terrace
encourages the vine to extend its roots
in search of water and freshness.

It gives rise to wines of balance, carried by great
purity and a precise verticality: the Terrace of
Château Montrose and Montrose Blanc.
